Too many Movies not enough time...or $$$
I decided to take a look at what I could see this weekend in the theater. I found out that I've missed out on a lot of movies and there are way too many out there I want to see. Here is a summary and maybe you will see one you like too!
In no particular order:
Elizabethtown
Staring Orlando Bloom and Kirsten Dunst (who I don't even like really, mostly cause she dates my Jake!) in a romantic comedy about finding out who you really are. Orlando had it all and then nothing, but when he meets his father's side of the family realizes he has a lot even without his prestige and money. Looks decent and funny and touching...has my vote...YES!
In Her Shoes
Starring Cameron Diaz and Toni Collete, warning...this is a CHICK FLICK! Just in case you didn't already know. Its a good sisterly story and I previously mentioned this a post from earlier last month. SEE HERE
Serenity
I don't know much about this film, but heard it great (that means nothing to me). I was planning on seeing it despite reviews. It is a sci-fi film having to deal with galactic civil war and such. But is based on sci-fi cult TV series "Firefly."
Just Like Heaven
I have also mentioned this film before...had a little incident and now I want to see it out of spite...click here for the full story. Typical chick-flick romantic comedy type....but isn't Reese Witherspoon adorable....I just love her!
Greatest Game Ever Played
This is another Disney movie with Shia LaBeouof....I heart him! Its about a working class caddy being good enough to play in the U.S. Open. (thats golf but movie golf is not so boring:) and doing very well at the same time! Inspirational and heart-warming in my book!
Proof
Staring Gwynth and my man Jake Gyllenhal this looks like a typical drama. Woman fears she will follow in her father's footsteps as she has with her writing career and go crazy!! Jake comes in for support and kisses...hmmm!
Thumbsucker
This is a story about a boy who still sucks his thumb at age 17. It is making a mess out his life at home, school and personally. He tries hypnosis by a specialty orthodontist (shiver!) and finds out there is more wrong with him than just his sucking behavior!
(BTW stars Vince Vaughn and Keanu Reeves)
Waiting
Finally, there is this movie. If you've ever worked in a restaurant or customer service, you know where they are coming from. Cutie Ryan Reynolds works in the food service industry and puts up with a lot of crap on a daily basis. This is one of those days and showcases what to do with your jobs has got you down, or just how to make it through the day!
