Stupidity moment....

I decided to go see 'Just Like Heaven', the romantic comedy with Reese Witherspoon. I was all set. I had gotten there early and smuggled in some snacks. I get to the theatre about 25 mins early, with I admit is pretty early. I thought there would be more traffic, so better safe than sorry. No one came in for quite a while and I thought I might have one of those rare movie-going experiences in which you get the whole theater to yourself. But alas, slowly people began to come into the theater.

It was time for the movie to start and it hadn't, so I was getting a little worried, but just sat there. The previews finnally started and I relaxed. I had the best seat of course, since I had gotten there early. Middle seat in the middle of the theatre. It wasn't crowded at all which was nice. Then the 'latecomers' arrive! These are the people that come in during the previews and bitch about how they can't see and 'why is it so dark'. One or two always trip and make that 'ugg' noise that breaks your concentration. I hate that!




So not only were these 'latecomers' particularly loud and annoying but they sat right next to me! Not directly beside me but one seat away, which was too close when they had the entire row besides my seat to choose from. This guy was huge. Probably 6'4 at least and he didn't quite fit into the seat that well and as he adjusted and wiggled the entire row shook and annoyed me even more. I like the previews and I didn't appreciate the disturbance.

I got over this incident and settled in to watch the film. But when it began I quickly realized, 'Hey this isn't Just like Heaven!! Wait a second....this is 'Lord of War'! I realized this and thought immediately that they must have put the wrong movie on and looked around at everyone else. They all sat quietly starring at the screen. I then realized that I was in the wrong theater. Thats why the movie was late, because this one started later.

The problem was I didn't want to see 'Lord of War' , I wanted to see 'Just like Heaven', a light romantic comedy. Instead I got stuck with a depressing film about illegal arms dealing and wars in Africa where everyone over the age of 10 carried a gun. I couldn't go see MY movie because at this point it was likely 20 mins into the film and I hated missing the beginning of movies! SO I was stuck.....very disappointing!

The only conciliation prize was that Jared Leto was in this movie...and he's HAWT!
