Finished.....Citizen Girl

Ok, I have to say it didn't turn out like I thought it would, but that was a good thing. I did enjoy this book, but it was weird. I will describe why, but if you plan on reading this book do not read any further.

So this "Girl" (they call her that the whole book) loses her shitty nonprofit feminist job and is having a really hard time finding any kind of employment. She's falls into this opportunity with a pretty good company. They don't tell her really what to do at all. She's supposed to be merging two products together one being highly feministic and the other not so much.

Anyway, its this big DEAL, yet they don't really tell her much about it, it turns out its for an lingerie company campaign, totally random. Then there are these weird scenes in this swingers clubs and it just seemed a bit odd. I guess not that they exist but that they were randomly placed into the plot.Of course there is a guy in the picture and when she comes home from the "club" they have a weird and bondage like sex scene. Which, although I'm not complained, seemed a bit random.

So it turns out she has to end up firing 85 % of the company when they lose the deal .Meanwhile, she gets a raise and a bonus for a job she's not even sure what it is. They are doing a "reorg"? So they have a launch party for the new company and it turns out to be a porn company. That she is all of a sudden the head of and making a six figure salary at age 24???? She turns it down for moral reasons and it ends?

Weird book huh? I enjoyed it overall though. No reason to read it though if you just read my summary:)
